Guenstiger.de stays in the ring with Sauerland

German online price comparison website Guenstiger.de has extended its contract as a main sponsor of Sauerland Event, Europe’s biggest boxing promoter.

The Guenstiger.de logo will continue to be displayed exclusively on the ring mat of Sauerland contests, while there will also be additional exposure via advertising boards and backdrops as well as billboards, tickets and on the official Boxen.com website.

Guenstiger.de has been a partner of Sauerland since March 2009, but the length of the new agreement has not been disclosed.

“We are delighted to have been able to convince Guenstiger.de to commit to boxing in the long-term,” said Heiko Krink, project manager at Kentaro Germany, which is responsible for marketing Sauerland’s fights. “Sauerland Event’s fights regularly reach between four and eight million viewers on public television.”

Guenstiger.de general manager Aske Magdalinksi added: “Through our presence in boxing, we have been able to further increase our brand awareness. We are very satisfied with the way the sponsorship is going and are looking forward to many more exciting fights in the ‘Boxen im Ersten’ television show.”
