Adidas to continue kitting out Spain

Adidas has extended its kit partnership with the UEFA Euro 2008 and 2010 FIFA World Cup-winning Spanish national football team through to December 2018.

The sportswear giant sealed the extension ahead of schedule, with the existing agreement due to run until the end of 2014. The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and Adidas have been partners for the past 30 years.

"We are very proud and excited to announce the extension of our successful partnership with the RFEF," said Adidas CEO Herbert Hainer. "Adidas is the global leader in football and Spain is currently the strongest team in the world which makes this partnership a perfect fit."

RFEF president Angel Maria Villar added: "This agreement allows us to count on the support of Adidas, which is without doubt the leading football brand. We are going to continue our partnership with them to support the world of football in every aspect."

Adidas is already the official sponsor, supplier and licensee of the FIFA World Cup.
