GlobeCast links up with TSA

GlobeCast has unveiled a distribution deal with Total Sports Asia (TSA), the official rights holder for the Badminton World Federation (BWF) Super Series and International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Pro Tour from 2011-13.

TSA has appointed GlobeCast for these events, with the satellite service provider facilitating satellite and fibre network delivery from four TSA events, including the ITTF Slovenian Open and English Open.

The deal will also cover two BWF Super Series events in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Seoul in South Korea before the end of January.

In a separate deal, GlobeCast oversaw the delivery of the standard-definition world feed for the Entertainment Group’s coverage of the fifth Royal Trophy golf championship, which took place from January 7-9 in Hua Hin, Thailand. Globecast delivered a cumulative 21 broadcast hours via its satellite system.

Additionally, GlobeCast is also providing its distribution services at the ongoing Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup, which will conclude on January 29.
