Soccerex European Forum to include stadia focus

Soccerex has announced that the upcoming European Forum will include a series of stadia-specific presentations hosted by the European Stadium and Safety Management Association (ESSMA).

ESSMA is a professional organisation that allows stadium and safety managers to exchange know-how and experience with the objective of developing a best-practice framework for the sports industry.

Senior industry figures such as Thomas Torkelsson, managing director of Ullevi and the Gamla Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg, Stadia Consulting Group CEO Stephan Pottier and Donbass Arena CEO Alexandr Atamanenko will discuss planned infrastructure projects for both the 2012 and 2016 UEFA European Championships as well as other venue developments across Europe.

"I think the European Forum will provide an important platform for our members to engage with the football industry and I look forward to networking with colleagues from across the continent," said ESSMA board member Paul Anderson.

The announced agenda for the Soccerex European Forum so far includes topics such as the German football model, financial equality, commercial challenges to clubs of different sizes, successful sponsorship, digital media, fan interaction and Eastern Europe's upcoming tournaments.

The 2011 Soccerex European Forum will take place on March 30-31 at the Manchester Central convention centre in Manchester, England. For further information, call +44 (0)208 742 7100 or visit www.soccerex.com/europe.
