Sinopec, also known as the China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation, has become an official partner of the IAAF and its World Athletics Series through 2015. The IAAF’s worldwide marketing partner, Dentsu, brokered the deal.
Under the terms of the contract, Sinopec will join Samsung and Adidas in providing additional financial support to the IAAF for the body’s Continental Programme. The company was recently the title sponsor of the IAAF World Half Marathon Championships and an official partner of the VTB Bank Continental Cup.
