Gatwick Airport hires consultancy to tap into London 2012

TSE Consulting has been appointed by London Gatwick to assist the UK’s second largest airport in becoming London 2012 Olympics’ airport of choice.

Gatwick wants National Olympic Committees and Olympic teams to utilise the airport before and during the Games and plans to invest $1.6 billion and offer dedicated services such as remote check-in upon departure.

The airport has already facilitated leaders from the G20 Summit and sports teams such as Chelsea, New Orleans Saints, Miami Dolphins and the GB Team returning from the 2004 Athens Olympics.

“We are honoured to have been appointed by London Gatwick Airport. This project combines our expertise in helping NOCs prepare for the Games and helping regional partners such as LGA [London Gatwick Airport] to optimize their own involvement when such a major event is being hosted,” said TSE Consulting United Kingdom director Jasper Perry.

Host of 70 airlines that fly around 34 million passengers from and to 220 destinations in 90 countries, Gatwick is located 28 miles south of Central London and has rapid rail, coach and motorway links with the rest of the UK.
