Under its ‘Shout the nation’ marketing campaign, free coupons for CUB’s Victoria Bitter (VB) will be printed in five newspapers at the conclusion of the final test on January 8. There are around 13 million adult Australians.
"We're going to buy the biggest round in Australian history," VB's senior brand manager Craig Maclean said at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on yesterday. "VB is urging all Aussies to get behind the team as they fight to reclaim Aussie pride and what's rightfully ours - the Ashes."
VB’s campaign comes after Cricket Australia beamed a picture of captain Ricky Ponting and Michael Clarke onto Big Ben with the message ‘Don't forget to pack the urn.’
The first Ashes Test begins on November 25 at the Gabba in Brisbane.
