Brazilian government officials primed for Soccerex Rio

Key Brazilian government figures have confirmed attendance to Soccerex’s first Global Convention to be held in the country, next week in the city of Rio de Janeiro.

Brazil’s Minister of Sport Orlando Silva and Minister of Tourism Luiz Barreto plus Rio de Janeiro State Governor Sergio Cabral have all been lined up for the event.

In addition, Rio de Janeiro State Secretary of Sport and Tourism Marcia Lins and Rio 2016 Olympics Institutional Director Agemar Santos will discuss Rio’s focus in the sporting world.

Industry leaders will also speak at the convention, including Marcelo de Campos Pinto, Rights Acquisition Executive Director General at leading broadcaster Globo.

The Soccerex Global Convention will take place on November 20-24 in the Forte de Copacabana, Copacabana beach and Sugar Loaf Mountain and will consist of an in-depth conference, packed exhibition, a range of networking opportunities and a two-day Football Festival.
