The Soccerex Football Festival is a two-day event that will take place at this year’s Soccerex Global Convention, on November 20-24 in Rio de Janeiro. In its six-year history, the Soccerex Football Festival has moved from Jumeirah Beach in Dubai to the Nelson Mandela Square in South Africa. Over the next four years the Soccerex Football Festival will be staged on Rio's world-famous Copacabana Beach.
“We are delighted that adidas have chosen to partner the Soccerex Football Festival and would like to welcome them into the Soccerex family,” said Daniel Paiser, Soccerex Head of Sponsorship and Partnerships. “Adidas are one of the leaders in their sector and we are extremely excited and honoured to be working alongside such a brand for the next four years. We are looking forward to playing an important role in Adidas’s activation programme in Brazil ahead of the 2014 World Cup.”
In recent years the festival has attracted legendary players including Eric Cantona, Aldair, Leonardo, Bryan Robson, Ruud Gullit, George Weah, Ossie Ardiles, John Barnes, Lucas Radebe and Ronald de Boer. Teams for the 2010 Legends Tournament will include Brazil, Argentina, England and the current champions Holland.
