PERFORM launches Premiership Rugby TV

Digital sport specialists PERFORM has launched Premiership Rugby TV following a three-year deal with Premier Rugby. The channel, which was in place for the start of the new domestic season, shows highlights of every game from the 2010-11 season, plus exclusive interviews and features.

The portal also comprises online audio commentary rights and live match stats for the league, meaning fans can follow their individual teams live through the website.

To accompany the development of the online channel, PERFORM is also managing the outside broadcast production from 66 (non-live) of the 135 matches throughout the season – all those not broadcast by ESPN or Sky Sports.

“We’re delighted to be carrying out the production for what is widely considered the leading rugby union club competition in the world," said Oliver Slipper, PERFORM joint-CEO.

“Partnering up with the Premiership Rugby is an exciting step and, in premiershiprugby.tv, sees us provide the rugby fan’s first port of call for highlights, exclusive interviews and live audio commentary from all twelve elite clubs.”

PEFORM is also producing the 52-minute weekly Aviva Premiership Rugby highlights show, to be shown on UK commercial broadcaster ITV and its digital channel ITV4. The highlights show is also being distributed internationally.
