Geico joins Anheuser-Busch in Orlando arena deal

National Basketball Association (NBA) team Orland Magic has agreed another corporate sponsorship deal for the new Amway Center. According to the local newspaper Orlando Sentinel, the NBA franchise has inked a five-year deal with insurance provider Geico worth more than $1 million per year.

Geico is the fourth founding partner of the arena, which opens at the beginning of the 2010-11 season, following the signings of beverage company Pepsi, airline AirTran and high-tech firm Harris as top-level sponsors.

The insurer will name the seven-level parking garage next to the arena and the half-time countdown clock.

Last week it was revealed Anheuser-Busch beer brand Budweiser agreed a deal covering arena signage and naming rights to the Budweiser Baseline Bar – a highly visible and entertaining space accessible to all Amway Center ticket buyers aged over 21.
