Brooks joins 23 other ambassadors, including former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, New York Yankees short-stop Derek Jeter, multi-Olympic gold medalist Michael Johnson, Chairman of the London 2012 Olympics Sebastian Coe and HRH Prince Feisal Al Hussein of Jordan.
As an Ambassador, Brooks will be responsible for spreading the word about Beyond Sport and its associated values, helping to build awareness about the impact sport can have on communities worldwide.
The annual Beyond Sport Summit and Awards is taking place in Chicago from September 29-30. This year it is partnered with Barclays Spaces for Sports, United Airlines, TIME International and UNICEF.
