TSA will start by distributing the Women’s World Boxing Championship, to be held in Barbados in September. It will be the first Women's World Championships to be held since the IOC's decision to include women's boxing at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
“TSA has a long history of distributing boxing but the professional version of the sport has fallen off most people’s radar in the past few years due to confusion of who is the real world champion. Olympic boxing is completely transparent with the on screen scoring and short but exciting ring action,” said executive VP of Media at Total Sports Asia, Julian Jackson.
TSA will also offer the AIBA World Championships 2011 which will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan. Other events on the AIBA calendar are the President’s Cup, the European Elite Championship and the continental Olympic qualifiers.
