Checketts will join a panel of sports team owners speaking at a session on ownership models.
Checketts became chief executive and general manager of NBA team the Utah Jazz in 1984 at age 28. He has also been general manager of NBA International, president of the the NBA’s New York Knicks, and president and chief executive of Madison Square Garden.
This year’s Leaders in Football conference takes place at Chelsea FC, in London, on October 6 and 7.
