Marketing expert Bruckner joins Munich 2018

The Munich 2018 Bid Committee for the Winter Olympics has appointed marketing expert and Olympic Games marketing specialist Stefan Bruckner as its new marketing director.

In the role Bruckner will co-ordinate an integrated marketing communications strategy for the bid.

Bruckner previously had a variety of different roles with Deutsche Sport-Marketing (DSM) and has advised extensively on marketing concepts relating to the Olympic Games and sport in Germany.

“With Stefan Bruckner and the DSM team, we are bringing marketing experts on board who have extensive experience in the Olympic Games sector and who can give a further boost to the Munich 2018 bid in the world of business,” said Willy Bogner, CEO of the Munich 2018 Bid Committee. "Together, we will bring the message of Munich’s friendly Games to an even wider audience."

Bruckner will be joined by another DSM employee, Christiane Krauter, who will be involved in marketing Munich 2018 locally.
