“Which audience is more important to us, our own or Australia's?'” asked Shyam Benegal, a Bollywood director, and one of the creative group planning the opening ceremony, in a letter to the Indian government ministers.
Benegal said the earlier start time would ruin plans for, among other things, a laser display that would work only after sundown.
