South Korea's golf federation is one of the founding members of the Tour, alongside the Australian, Chinese and other Asian federations.
But South Korean players are refusing to take part this year because they are unhappy with new qualification rules. The rules will keep some South Korean golfers out of formerly locals-only tournaments that have been subsumed by OneAsia. A group of about Korean 135 professionals have said they would not compete in three upcoming OneAsia tournaments in South Korea: The SK Telecom Open, the Kolon-Hana Bank Korea Open and the GS Caltex Maekyung Open.
The Korean Golf Association says that 72 South Koreans will compete in the four-day Maekyung Open next month, out of over 150 players in total.
