The tour will visit London, Paris, Barcelona and Milan in October. Local teams will take on the visitors in Barcelona, where Regal FC Barcelona will play the LA Lakers, and in Milan, where Armani Jeans Milan will play the Minnesota Timberwolves.
UK newspaper The Daily Telegraph reports that NBA commissioner David Stern also reiterated the league’s determination to play a regular-season games in London before the city hosts the 2012 Olympics.
“In addition to the friendlies we’ll be playing in 2010, it is my intention that, prior to the Olympics, we will play regular-season games in London,” he said. “That’s my statement, and I’m fully expecting to deliver on it.”
