The QRU will next month report a “multi-million [Australian] dollar” loss for the last year, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.
The paper reports that the ARU was making no comment on the bailout, but Queensland sources said an announcement about it was imminent.
The ARU had to rescue the New South Wales Rugby Union from financial failure ten years ago.
