According to data released today by Nielsen, Fox’s “American Idol” drew a bigger primetime audience than the Olympics on February 16.
NBC drew an average of 24.8 million primetime viewers a night last week, treble the number of primetime viewers as its nearest competitor.
For the year starting in September, NBC is averaging 3.76 million viewers nightly in the 18-to-49-year-old viewer demographic, behind both Fox and CBS. Disney-owned ABC is fourth with 3.54 million.
