Coca-Cola renews with UEFA

Coca-Cola has extended its long-term relationship with UEFA, signing an eight-year sponsorship deal to cover all major European national team competitions.

Coca-Cola paid $2.5 million a year for the previous EUROTOP sponsorship contract, which ran from 2006 to 2010.

Under the terms of the agreement, the multi-national beverage company becomes official sponsor for Euro 2012 and 2016, as well as UEFA European Championships for under-21, women and futsal. The company will continue to carry out programmes such as “flag bearers” and “ultimate access”.

Coca-Cola will additionally have integrated broadcast sponsorship rights in Europe, and exclusive marketing rights for non-alcoholic beverages in official premises of the competitions.
