Vancouver Olympics will be live in HD online

European fans will be able to watch live coverage of the Vancouver Winter Olympics live online, on a website operated by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).

The EBU is creating high-definition online feeds for the first time, for selected events.

The website will allow access to coverage from over 30 EBU member broadcasters, six EBU live feeds, and a 24-hour Olympics News Channel. On-demand highlights will also be available.

The EBU operated a similar service for the Beijing Summer Olympics in 2008.

The countries with access to the service are:

Albania, Algeria, Andorra, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark , Egypt, Estonia, Finland, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lebanon, Libya, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Morocco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Uzbekistan, and the Vatican.
