The deal with Castrol is an extension of a partnership with European football’s governing body UEFA that started with Euro 2008. Castrol paid $19 million to sponsorship the 2008 event in Austria and Switzerland.
“Our investment in football has proved a tremendous success and allowed Castrol to add value to our business partners; excited and rewarded fans; and motivated our staff,” said Castrol’s senior vice president for lubricants, Mike Johnson.
Castrol also sponsors this year’s FIFA World Cup in South Africa
