Brazilian League secures Singapore TV deal

Brazilian football’s São Paulo Championship and Brazilian National Championship will be on Singaporean television this year for the first time thanks to a new deal by pay-television operator StarHub.

Starhub’s two-year deal, covering 2010 and 2011, includes rights for 82 live matches this year. Starhub will show two matches per week on the Football Channel.

Starhub has recently offered its cable-television subscribers access to two sports channels for free this year, and announced it would reduce the cost of its sports channel package, Sports Group, by more than 50 per cent from July 2010.
