FEI approves additions to executive board

HRH Princess Haya, president of the FEI, the international governing body of equestrian sports, has approved four new members to the body’s executive board for 2010.

Following its first meeting of the year, which took place via conference call on Tuesday, the FEI Bureau approved the president’s proposal and named Hanfried Haring (Chairman of Geographical Group II), Pablo Mayorga (Chairman of Geographical Group VI), Sven Holmberg (1st Vice President) and Chris Hodson (2nd Vice President) to the executive board.

The FEI Bureau decides on the specific mandate of the executive board, whose role is generally to interface with FEI Headquarters to oversee and support the implementation of resolutions.

The terms of the current board members run through to the 2010 General Assembly in November, coinciding with the end of the president’s current term in office.
