The announcement came yesterday after the club revealed it will raise around £500 million ($800 million) through a notes offering to restructure the club's £699 million debt.
United’s turnover increased to £278.5 million from £256.2 million year-on-year, largely due to the sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid for a record fee of £80 million.
The results also revealed Manchester United has paid £41.9 million in interest on a £519 million loan used by the Glazer family to buy the club in 2005.
