Chinese news agency Xinhua reports that the GS Caltex Maekyung Open will take place in Seoul on May 6 to 9. It is the third South Korean event to join the 2010 OneAsia roster, after Seoul Open and the Kolon-Hana Bank Korea Open, both events with $1 million in prize money on offer.
“With OneAsia in 2010, I have confidence that a prestigious golf tournament, Maekyung Open, will become one of the top-level golf events in the world as well as the Asia-Pacific region,” said Chang Dae-whan, chairman of Maekyung.
OneAsia plans to expand to between 17 and 20 events in 2011.
