The new sponsor will have its logo broadcast worldwide on-screen during matches, and will have title sponsorship of the Premier League’s player performance index and the statistics section of the official Premier League website.
“New sectors for Premier League sponsorship rarely arise and we think this opportunity is a very exciting one,” said the Premier League’s Director of Sales and Marketing, Richard Masters. “On offer are traditional sponsorship rights but combined with new developments like player tracking technology, there is also the ability for companies to utilise the content so they can reach fans across the world which will improve their enjoyment and understanding of the game.”
The new sponsorship will begin at the start of the 2010-11 season.
