Fifty-year Henessey Gold Cup sponsorship to continue

Spirits brand Hennessy and UK horse racing venue Newbury have agreed a three-year extension to their partnership on the Gold Cup, the 50th edition of which was run this year.

The deal extension runs 2010 to 2012.

Graham Boyes, Managing Director of Moët Hennessy UK said: “This is the longest running sports partnership of its kind and we are thrilled to continue working with Newbury on one of our, and the UK’s, most prestigious and cherished events.”

Stephen Higgins Jnt Managing Director of Newbury said: “We are extremely proud of our longstanding relationship with Moet Hennessy, and are thrilled that the relationship will continue to at least 2012. This is the 50th running of the Hennessy Gold Cup at Newbury, and with a total prize money of £200,000 its highest ever value, and we look forward to building on our successful Winter Festival with the Hennessy Gold Cup as its feature event.”

The 2010 Hennessy Gold Cup will take place on November 27.
