Schumer wants the NBA to pull out of its contract with the Germany-based sportswear giant if it goes ahead with the move in production.
Schumer said “an all-American” product was being sacrificed, as well as 100 jobs at the New York factory which currently manufactures over half the kits.
Schumer said he had spoken to NBA commissioner David Stern who “wanted to helpful” on the matter.
