The deal further boosts SKY Italia’s rugby portfolio which also includes the Six Nations from 2010, the Tri Nations and the Heineken Cup.

The Rugby World Cup 2007 in France reached a global television audience of 4 billion. The 2011 event will be the seventh edition of global showpiece event and kicks off when hosts New Zealand face Tonga in the first of 48 matches on September 9, 2011.
