Jaypee cements India-Sri Lanka title sponsorship

Indian-based Jaypee Cement has bagged title sponsorship for the three-match test cricket series between India and Sri Lanka in a deal worth $1.3 million.

According to Indiantelevision.com, Jaypee Cement has paid Rs 60 million for the series to be named 'The Jaypee Cup'.

The website also reports that Nikon and Hero Honda have signed up as associate on-ground sponsors, in deals with the World Sport Group, worth Rs 25 million ($540,000) apiece.

The series begins today at Ahmedabad.
