Sandusky is the former spokesperson and Vice President of Communications for the Chicago 2016 Olympic bid. He will report directly to acting CEO Stephanie Streeter and begins in the position at the end of October.
For Chicago 2016 Sandusky was responsible for leading and overseeing the bid's external communication initiatives, serving as the lead international media relations head as well as official spokesperson.

Prior to his time with Chicago 2016, Sandusky was vice president of public relations and public affairs consultancy Hill & Knowlton (H&K)'s sports marketing practice. He led 27 H&K offices around the globe working on London's bid for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Wimbledon, the football World Cup, Rugby World Cup, English Premiership, NASCAR and College Football for clients such as Gillette.
