Bundesliga international rights double

The Bundesliga's commercial arm, DFL Sports Enterprises, celebrated its first year of existance at SPORTEL Monaco yesterday by revealing it has doubled the value of its international television rights.

DFL Sports Enterprises now brings in an average of €35 million per season compared to €18 million for between 2006-07 and 2008-09.

The Bundesliga is now sold to 80 broadcast companies covering 2006 of the 208 FIFA territories (excluding South Africa and Afghanistan).

DFL Sports Enterprises also sells sponsorship of the league and is looking to announce a "premium sponsorship package", rather than a title sponsorship, for the league.
