ESPN scores Premier League renewals in Asia

ESPN Star Sports (ESS), the Asian arm of the international sports broadcaster, has held on to its media rights for the English Premier League in Asia, agreeing deals covering 18 markets until 2013.

Bloomberg reports that ESS won exclusive rights in India, Indonesia, South Korea, East Timor, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, North Korea, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Bhutan, the Maldives, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

In Malaysia and Brunei it will show the games in partnership with Astro All Asia Networks Plc.

The rights cover all 380 matches of the league and include television, internet and mobile rights.
