According to Bloomberg, the total attendance was an increase of 832 on last year’s record, making the US Open “the world’s highest-attended annual sporting event.”
The USTA said five attendance records were set in the first week: the top Opening Day session, top Opening Day combined sessions, top single session, top combined and first-week attendance of 423,427.
