Rebel teams readmitted to FOTA

The Formula One Teams' Association lifted the suspension of the Williams and Force India teams and said all teams competing in the 2010 Championship are welcome to join the group.

The two teams had been banned from FOTA when they applied for applied for unconditional entry into the 2010 championship. FOTA members had not entered in protest at the proposed £40m budget cap being imposed by the FIA.

That proposal has now been replaced with an agreement to reduce costs to "mid-1990s levels", as FOTA sees fit.

New teams Campos Grand Prix, Manor and US F1 will also now become eligible for FOTA membership.
