Champions League and Europa League rights sold in Brazil

UEFA has agreed deals with four Brazilian broadcasters for television rights for the Champions League and Europa League competitions in the seasons 2009-10 to 2011-12.

Champions League rights were acquired by free-to-air broadcaster Esporte Interativo, and pay-television broadcaster Globo. Esporte Interativo will show one live match each Tuesday, and replay the match later that day in a “peak” viewing slot, according a UEFA press release. Free-to-air broadcaster TV Bandeirantes will show a live match each Wednesday as well as highlights and a magazine programme, having sub-licensed the rights from Globo. The pay broadcaster will at least broadcast the Champions League final.

Pay-broadcaster ESPN will also carry live and delayed coverage.

ESPN, along with free-to-air Rede TV! will show live, delayed and highlights coverage of the Europa League throughout the season.
