Russell Crowe to voice V8 Supercars ads

The V8 Supercars motor racing series will become one of the jersey sponsors of Australian National Rugby League club South Sydney Rabbitohs, while Hollywood star and Rabbitoh’s co-owner Russell Crowe will voice an advertisement for one of the V8 races.

Australian Sponsorship News reports that Rabbitohs corporate partnerships manager Jeremy Scott said the deal hoped to capitalise on similarities between V8 Supercars and NRL supporters, and each party would be able to access data on the other’s members.

Rabbitohs also announced a renewal of their deal with household appliances company De’Longhi, which will remain as the club’s corporate away partner in 2010, with an option to extend for a further year. The deal includes a CSR element, which sees De’Longhi contributing to the community programme South Cares.
