Sports broadcaster Eurosport, in partnership with India’s ministry of tourism, has made a television programme that will promote the country as a sports tourism destination.

Called ‘Sport Trip India’, the programme covers golf in New Delhi, diving in Goa, yoga, Indian martial art Kalarippayattu, and, of course, India’s national passion, cricket.

Media agency Mediascope Publicitas brokered the deal between the Ministry of Tourism and Eurosport that saw the programme get made. “The purpose is to highlight sports tourism opportunities in India,” said Mediascope Publicitas India chief executive Marzban Patel. “This initiative will go a long way in exposing India to the sport loving European nations enticing millions to visit, participate and indulge in different experiences.”
