The twelfth men's World Championship of Olympic sport hopeful softball will have delayed television coverage in 60 countries under three new deals.

The World Championship has just been played in Saskatoon, Canada.

The latest broadcasters to come on board include Eurosport, which will show the Men’s World Championship gold medal game to 46 countries in Europe on its Eurosport 2 channel, plus twelve more in the Asia/Pacific region. Eurosport will also broadcast the match on mobile devices. Maori Television in New Zealand will show both the bronze and gold medal games, and Canada’s Rogers Sportsnet will show both medal games in Canada.

International Softball Federation president Don Porter welcomed the deals as a boost to the organisation’s BackSoftball campaign, which is aiming to get the sport onto the Olympic programme for the 2016 Summer Games.
