Insurance company Brit Insurance will be the new sponsor of the England cricket team, after Vodafone ends its 12-year partnership with the England and Wales Cricket board this year.
The deal runs for four years, beginning January 2010. The Brit Insurance logo will appear on all playing and training kit worn by the England men’s and women’s cricket teams, the England Lions second-tier team, and the England disability teams. Brit Insurance will also have advertising in stadia during England matches, team image rights, and access to members of the teams for commercial and marketing purposes.
“We are delighted to welcome Brit Insurance as the new principal sponsor of the England Cricket Teams,” said David Collier, ECB Chief Executive. “With an established brand and excellent reputation within the sport we are looking forward to working closely with them over the coming four years.
“I would also like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to Vodafone who for the past 12 years has been a fantastic supporter of cricket in this country.”
