Lega Calcio, the governing body of Italy’s professional football leagues, has launched the tender for the television rights for Serie A, in partnership with the Infront Sports & Media agency.

The Lega Nazionale Professionisti (LNP) tender invites bids for domestic television rights for the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons. It has been approved by the Italian Anti-trust Authority and the Italian Communication Authority.

The tender offers four pay-television packages and one free-to-air package of rights. Offers must be submitted by July 27.

A tender for non-exclusive domestic rights will be offered in the fourth quarter of this year. The international tender is scheduled for autumn 2009, along with the rights to Coppa Italia and Super Coppa.
