TRACAB signs deal to break Turkish market

TRACAB, the developer of a sophisticated digital tracking technology for sport, has signed a three-year agreement with Istanbul-based Total İstatistik Danışmanlık.

TRACAB, the developer of a sophisticated digital tracking technology for sport, has signed a three-year agreement with Istanbul-based Total İstatistik Danışmanlık.

Under the deal TRACAB will introduce its system and products - which are used to monitor every run, pass, shot, save and goal during a football game - to the Turkish football market.

TRACAB data is used to deliver a range of real-time services for TV broadcasters, broadband and mobile media operators, betting and gaming companies, as well as for coaches who receive detailed reports on the performance of individual players during and after the game.

“Turkish football has a huge and passionate following and the commercial and media aspects of the game are developing rapidly. I am delighted to be working with TRACAB, as leader in its field, to introduce a system which adds value and creates new revenue streams and fresh opportunities,” said Alper Kotaman, CEO of Total İstatistik Danışmanlık.

Johan Apel, CEO of TRACAB, added: “Turkey is a large, fast-developing and increasingly sophisticated football sector which captures the imagination of the nation. We are excited to work with Total İstatistik Danışmanlık to introduce our system and products to the Turk-ish market in an agreement which extends the TRACAB footprint still further across the football world.”

The system was used throughout the recent FIFA Confederations Cup in South Africa and the UEFA Under 21 Championship in Sweden, where it made its 1,500th appearance during the final in Malmo.
