US fast-food chain Taco Bell has agreed a new four-year sponsorship deal with the NBA that sees it replace McDonald’s as the basketball league’s fast-food partner.
The International Herald Tribune, attributing the story to Sports Business Journal, reports that deal will see Taco Bell get television advertising on free-to-air network ABC, and sports broadcasters TNT and ESPN; NBA-themed promotions at Taco Bell’s 5,600 restaurants; Taco Bell title sponsoring the All-Star Saturday Night Skills Challenge, and becoming associate sponsor of the All-Star Jam Session.
McDonald’s had been a commercial partner of the NBA for 20 years prior to the new deal.
