Veteran Australian golfer Greg Norman is in talks to design up to 20 golf courses in China, and also to launch his line of wines and beef products in the country.
Bloomberg reports that Harley Kruse, an architect at Norman’s golf course design company, said he was pursuing 20 golf-course design leads in China, each of which could attract a fee of over $1 million.
“When we get our boots down on golf course design, it opens up to every kind of deal we have, the wines, clothing line,” Norman said in an interview in the Chinese city of Shenzhen. “China is the bright spot.”
Norman’s company, Great White Shark Enterprises Inc, includes among its activities golf course design, apparel, golf equipment, wine and residential development. Kruse said it plans to open an office in China within five months.
