US cable network Turner Sports has extended its broadcasting and interactive-media deal with the PGA of America until 2019.

Under the deal, the TNT network will continue coverage of Thursdays and Fridays and early coverage of the final two rounds of the PGA Championship, the last of the year’s four major golf tournaments, and complete coverage of the PGA Grand Slam of Golf, which includes the winners of the four majors.

According to Bloomberg, the deal also includes a new licensing deal involving Cartoon Network Enterprises which, according to CEO of the Florida-based PGA Joe Steranka, will “keep golf relevant and connect golf with the young people in America.”

David Levy, Turner Broadcasting System’s president of sales, distribution and sports, added that the licensing will most likely extend to apparel, club-head covers and other golf accessories.

Turner also will continue to manage PGA.com and RyderCup.com, including video content, advertising sales and distribution.
