Soccerex has announced that Jefferson Slack, the new Global Head of Football at the IMG agency, will participate in an exclusive sports marketing workshop at its 2009 event.
Lucien Boyer, CEO of Havas Sports Worldwide, will also participate in the workshop. Both speakers will provide Soccerex delegates with “an invaluable insight into the future trends of sports marketing.”
IMG and Havas Sports Worldwide have helped major rights holders and sponsors such as the English FA Premier Football League, Major League Baseball, Emirates, Unilever and Air Asia to leverage their presence in the global sports market.
Slack’s recent appointment at IMG follows previous experience in the sports industry working for the Wasserman Media Group and Inter Milan FC. Boyer is regarded as one of the forefathers of the sports marketing industry with over 20 years of experience, working for Saatchi & Saatchi and Lamborghini Formula 1 in addition to Havas Sports Worldwide.
This session is part of the Soccerex 09 conference programme, which is also tackling the ‘Global Issues’ and ‘Focused Topics’ currently affecting the football industry. The 2009 convention takes place between 28 November and 2 December in Johannesburg, South Africa.
