UK production company Sunset+Vine has signed a five-year extension to its current deal with the Lawn Tennis Association.
Under the terms of the deal, Sunset+Vine will continue to broadcast the pre-Wimbledon tournaments at Eastbourne and Birmingham up to and including 2013.
“We are delighted to be working with the LTA for the next five years on these important pre-Wimbledon tournaments,” said Sunset+Vine chairman Jeff Foulser. “They are an established part of the tennis calendar and our pictures will be transmitted all round the world.”
Bruce Philipps, LTA director of communications, added: “We are delighted to be working with Sunset+Vine who have demonstrated a real willingness to work closely with us as we look to provide the best possible coverage for tennis fans in the UK.”
Sunset+Vine’s current UK production contracts include BBC horseracing (featuring the Derby and Grand National), Five’s cricket coverage, live international football, and the Tour De France for ITV. Internationally the company produces and distributes the ‘Gillette World Sport’ show, plus the Volvo Ocean Race and the Dubai World Cup.
This year both tournaments were shown live in the UK on Eurosport and Eastbourne on the BBC. It is the second consecutive year Sunset+Vine has produced both the Eastbourne and Birmingham events.
