The world’s top domestic handball league, the German Handball bundesliga, has agreed a new media rights deal with domestic sports broadcaster DSF.

The world’s top domestic handball league, the German Handball bundesliga, has agreed a new media rights deal with domestic sports broadcaster DSF.

The new four-year deal will see 90 matches per season broadcast live on free-to-air DSF, with a further 90 matches available live via DSF’s internet portal. The deal includes the rights for a new magazine programme, which DSF will produce.

Eurosport and online broadcaster Sportdigital.tv are also understood to have bid for the rights.
